Founded in 1889 by Max BESSEY, BESSEY & Sohn began as a bright steel drawing plant in Stuttgart. Over the years, BESSEY expanded its product range, starting manual clamping tool production in the mid-1930s and securing numerous patents for its innovations. The acquisition of Diener Werkzeugfabrik in 1979 marked BESSEY’s entry into cutting technology with the renowned Erdi snips. In 2004, BESSEY & Sohn was restructured into BESSEY Tool, focusing on clamping and cutting technology, and BESSEY Präzisionsstahl, a top supplier of high-quality bright and stainless steels. This integration ensures superior quality and precision, aligning with founder Max Bessey’s enduring motto: “To stop improving is to stop being good.”
